Nothing in life comes easy.

You know what, nothing in life comes easy but what we’ll learn is that; anything worthwhile may it be difficult or risky is worthwhile doing for both the process of getting to it and the actual harvest of our effort. It need not to be a materialistic desire or even an academic goal, it may be as easy as being closer to your family or having more time and fun with your friends. Point is, getting to those simple goals wont be as easy as they may seem.

Monsters will always attack heroes, treacherous forests will always be the adversary of a traveler and snakes will always be there to tempt the strong, but what is important is for every protagonist to have a strong foundation within in order to offset all that lies ahead and all that has happened.

We are the protagonists of our own lives. And everyday we face monsters, forests and snakes, and they really try to keep us from our happy ending. That is why we should always be guided by what we believe we want, need and is good. We all have our own antagonists, simply because we can never be loved by all and we don’t to be. But you know what, as weird as it may seem, but we really need antagonists in our lives; they need to be always there in order for us to constantly be in check of ourselves, and to keep us in our toes. Without analogists, we wont be able to taste sweet success.

Antagonists can be more than just another person; it can be more than just a rival or foe. It can also refer to either our daily struggles or even ourselves. Yes, you heard me right; we can also be the antagonists of our own lives. Why? Simply because greed, selfishness, pride, anger, love or lust may blind us from what we truly want and from what we once desired. And yes, even though it is weird to here that we are our greatest opponents, in some sense and in some time it is true.

Smart people are also stupid and sometimes they can be the most stubborn and blind. No matter how successful or rich people become, we each have our weaknesses that serve as our kryptonite. That is why nothing in life ever comes easy, no matter who you are and what you have achieved. Focus is important in order for us to reach whatever we want out of life. Focus, is a skill that we need to master so that we can be able to overcome internal weaknesses and either conquer or at least manage the chaos of a world that we live in. Humans are easily distracted, either by emotion or beauty, by addiction or angst, by choice or subconscious or even by selflessness or sin. That is why focus needs to be honed, and made a habit in order for us to reach what we long desire, the things that will make us satisfied for longer and the things that matter most to us AND NOT for the things that we momentarily lust for or blindly see as what we think we want. Happiness can only be achieved if we are able to sacrifice happiness now for a greater happiness later.
